Visas Mongolia

You will Need a visa for Mongolia unless you are a citizen of one of the following countries:

Hong Kong – no visa is required for up to 14 days. There is no visa fee for diplomatic and official passport holders. Ordinary passport holders pay the visa fee if they travel for more than 14 days.

Israel – no visa is required for up to 30 days 

Kazakhstan – no visa is required for up to 90 days

Malaysia – no visa is required for up to 1 month

Philippines – no visa is required for up to 21 days

Singapore – no visa is required for up to 14 days

USA - no visa is required for up to 90 days

India – you require a visa however no visa application, photo or fees are required

USA - no visa is required for up to 90 days.

Visits for more than 90 days require a visa, there is a service charge of £85.00 but no visa fee is charged

There are two services available for processing Mongolian visas standard 2-5 working day service and express 1 working day service.  

Remember to allow yourself enough time to obtain your visa and to make your travel arrangements

To obtain your visa you will need to submit the following documents:

Passport

You need to lodge your actual passport, which will remain at the Consulate until the visa is granted. Your passport should be valid for six months after your exit date from the country. One empty page is required to place the visa.

Please provide 1 recent passport-type photo on a light or white background

Visa Application Form

The Mongolian Visa Application Form should be completed online, printed out and signed. If the form is completed incorrectly the application will be rejected.

Tourist Visas:

No additional documents are required   

Transit Visas:

If you are applying for a Transit visa you will need to show a valid onward visa and international air ticket to your country of destination.     

Business Visas:

If you are applying for a business visa you will need to provide a supporting letter from your company confirming your employment and the purpose of your visit to Mongolia, this letter should include the inviting company details and the duration of your stay.     

You will also need to supply a letter from the relevant inviting organisation in Mongolia, which has been approved by the Immigration, Naturalisation and Foreign Citizens Office of Mongolia and authorisation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mongolia.
