All European Passport Holders require a visa to enter Libya

Each passport requires an Arabic translation. This can be arranged by ctms for a fee of £50.00 (excl. VAT)
All European passport holders must provide the following documentation to acquire a BIOMETRIC visa which must be obtained in person by the applicant.

1. Valid Passport (minimum six months validity) with Arabic transcript
2. Visa Application Form
3. Four colour photos (3 x 4 cm)
4. Invitation Letter indicating the purpose of the visit (in Arabic)
5. Return air tickets
6. Work/Professional License or contract for any self-employed person
7. Hotel Reservation
8. Letter from Employer
9. Invitation Letter for businessmen from hosting company or organisation.
10. Additional documentation may be required in the form of Bank statements (last 3-6 months ) and Travel Insurance

Visa invitation letter should be issued by the Libyan Ministry of Immigration who will issue an Authorisation Number which will be faxed to your nearest Consulate. This process takes approximately 7-10 working days. This authorisation number will act as the letter of invitation.

After the Visa Authorisation Number is obtained, your application should be lodged at the Libyan Consulate with the appropriate documentation (as detailed above) and fee paid (currently £100 for a Business Single entry visa). The Consulate address is:

Please note that each applicant must apply IN PERSON.
The Consulate recently changed its opening times: it is now open Monday to Thursday from 09.30 until midday. Collection times are 14.00-15.00.
Although ctms cannot lodge your application if can collect it for you once the visa is issued. Please contact us and we will send you the necessary letter of authorisation that will allow us to collect your documents on your behalf. A collection fee of £25.00 (excl. VAT) applies along with a £7.00 postal charge if you wish to have your documents returned by Royal Mail guaranteed next day delivery
