Visas Ghana

You will Need a visa for Ghana unless you are a citizen of one of the following countries:
Benin, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Cote DâIvoire, Mali, Nigeria, Togo, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Niger, Liberia, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Gambia, Persons in direct Airside Transit and holders of German and Cuban diplomatic passports travelling to Ghana for a period not exceeding three months.
Types of Ghana Visas
Tourist Visas: Valid for either 3 months 1 year or 2 years from the date of issue, Single or Multiple
Business Visas: Valid for either 3 months 1 year or 2 years from the date of issue, Single or Multiple
Study Visas: Valid for either 3 months 1 year or 2 years from the date of issue, Single or Multiple
Transit Visas: Valid for either 3 months 1year or 2 years from the date of issue, Single or Multiple
There are three services available for processing visas to Ghana, 7 working days, 3 working days or next working day.
Remember to allow yourself enough time to obtain your visa and to make your travel arrangements
To obtain your visa you will need to submit the following documents:
Passport
You need to lodge your actual passport, which will remain at the Consulate until the visa is granted. Your passport should still be valid at least 6 months after your exit date from the country. Two empty pages are required to place the visa.
Passport – Type Photo
Please provide 2 recent passport-type photos on a light or white background
Visa Application Form
Two completed copies of the visa application form are required, please print the forms on A4 paper and sign both copies. These forms must be completed online at

Additional documents required
Transit visa
If you are applying for a transit visa you will need to show a valid onward visa and an international air ticket to your country of destination
Tourist visa
No additional documents are requires
Business visa
If you are applying for a business visa you will need to provide a UK company letter confirming your visit to Ghana. If you are travelling to Ghana on Business at the request of a Ghanaian company then your hosts in Ghana need to provide a letter of invitation. The UK company letter must be an original.
Other documents required
All NON UK passport holders should have proof of UK residency in their passport.
